Chef/Owner Jason Hansen & Owner Peter Sebastian have spent their careers dedicated to bringing delicious food and exceptional dining experiences to the Twin Cities. After spending years leading kitchens and the front-of-house at other establishments, Jason & Peter took the plunge and opened a restaurant of their own in 2019: Estelle, a cozy neighborhood spot in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul offering a taste of the Mediterranean. Despite an uncertain landscape for restaurants, Estelle quickly became a neighborhood favorite, and Jason & Peter were able to open their second restaurant, Mario’s, in 2022. The East Coast-inspired pizza joint has also become a neighborhood staple, offering hero sandwiches on house-baked sesame seed loaves and Sicilian pan pizzas unlike anything else in the Twin Cities. In 2025, Jason & Peter will open their third restaurant, Liliana. Located in Woodbury, the new restaurant will offer modern Italian pastas and small plates in a self-proclaimed “fine casual” style – guest feel comfortable and welcome, but leave impressed with an impeccable experience.
